Vision and Mission

Our Vision is to be a recognized leader in using data analysis to solve hard problems.

Our Mission is to leverage an environment where employees can flourish and research new ideas to provide game-changing solutions for our customers.

Quality Policy

Orion’s Belt Engineering, Inc. is committed to fulfilling customer and other applicable requirements by continuously using innovative technology, providing our customers with excellent services, and meeting or exceeding our customer’s demands. This will be accomplished through continually improving our services and internal processes and fulfilling our Quality Objectives as defined in our Quality System.

Our Values

At Orion's Belt Engineering, we are dedicated to fostering a positive and collaborative environment that results in high quality, reliable, and timely results for our customers.

Partnering with Clients to Improve Results

We always put our focus on our customers. We want you to find the product or service that perfectly suits your needs, which is why we offer comprehensive consulting services to help you make an informed decision. This partnership relies on our other values – such as making realistic commitments, maintaining high quality standards through our QMS, and being honest.

Honoring Our Commitments

Honoring our commitments  is crucial for ensuring the success and reliability of projects as well as for fostering a flexible, respectful and creative team environment. We utilize project management best practices to set achievable milestones, and use metrics to ensure accurate resource estimates. Part of honoring commitments is being realistic in which commitments we make – for example, don’t promise something today because it feels like the right thing to say if you won’t have time today.

Diversity of Thought and Experiences

We are committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) as we look to grow the company. We aim to do focus on two primary areas:

  • Provide professional learning and educational opportunities to develop awareness, knowledge, and strategies for supporting diverse and innovative work environments
  • Implementing inclusive workplace practices

OBE has developed a DEI plan for 2024 that includes both formal check ins and training. The formal check-ins ensure there is open and overt discussion of DEI topics. This will help in fostering an environment where employees feel safe to contribute ideas.

Quality Assurance

Everything we do centers on providing services of the highest level of quality. To provide excellent products and services to our customers, ensure a consistent employee experience, and remain competitive for government contracts, our company has invested heavily in the development of a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that meets the ISO 9001 requirements and are continuing to invest in AS9100 and CMMI certifications. All employees participate in the implementation and maintenance of our QMS, including risk-based thinking, identification of non-conformances, and continuous improvement of our processes.

Fostering Creative Ideas

Fostering creative ideas is essential in the context of engineering services as it drives innovation and problem-solving. By providing flexible working hours and promoting a positive work environment, we can have the time and space to think creatively and come up with new ideas. We also focus on mentoring and training - promoting the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and perspectives, which can lead to innovative solutions to engineering challenges.

Honest Communication

Honest communication is of utmost importance in the context of engineering services, as it fosters effective collaboration, upholds integrity, and promotes transparency. Honest communication needs to be respectful and factual to be effective. This ties in closely with honoring our commitments – when we communicate honestly, we can better discuss key topics that could lead to the lack of ability to make a commitment such as risks and risk mitigation; schedules, schedule margin, and resource availability; and any concerns on project/task planning.
